2019 COMMUNITY OF SCHOLARS
In celebration of National Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week, the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies (OGAPS) and the Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC) invite you to attend the 2019 Community of Scholars (CoS) events. CoS events will begin on Tuesday, April 9th and continue through Thursday, April 11th. Please see the descriptions for each day's event below.
Honoring Selfless Service: Dinner & Dialogue
The Office of Graduate and Professional Studies (OGAPS), along with the Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC), invites you to join the Texas A&M graduate and professional community of students, faculty, and staff for an evening of dinner and dialogue. This year, the program will highlight graduate and professional students as unsung heroes. We will honor selfless Aggies who answer the call to serve their community, outside the classroom. Please come and enjoy dinner and dynamic conversations with moderator Dr. Corliss Outley, the 2019 Unsung Heroes, and the distinguished graduate faculty and staff. We invite you to share your experiences, learn from others, and help strengthen the graduate and professional community of scholars!
The Dinner & Dialogue event will be held at the MSC Bethancourt Ballrooms on Tuesday April 9, 2019. The evening begins with a social reception at 5:30 p.m. Doors open for the dinner and dialogue event promptly at 6:00 p.m, with the evening concluding at 8:30 p.m. Doors will close promptly at 6:15 p.m. and admittance will not be permitted once doors are closed.
The Office of Graduate and Professional Studies (OGAPS) and Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC) sought current Texas A&M University graduate or professional students with exceptional stories of selfless service in our local community and beyond. While balancing personal and professional commitments, our Aggies continue to exhibit unselfish leadership and dynamic volunteerism during their academic tenure.

Three students will receive a scholarship in the amount of $2,000 and speak at the Community of Scholars Dinner and Dialogue event.
