In 2002, the Graduate and Professional School began accepting Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs). These ETDs are published in OAKTrust, the Texas A&M Digital Repository. Electronic submissions became mandatory in 2004. Theses, dissertations, and records of study submitted prior to that year were digitized by the library as shelf copies. In addition to submitting to OAKTrust, dissertations and records of study continue to be submitted to ProQuest.

We recommend contacting a national dissertation binding company or visiting a local copy or print shop to inquire about binding options.
Extending a Document Embargo
If you would like to request an embargo extension, please use the form linked below. This form must be submitted a minimum of five business days before the scheduled expiration date. The two-year embargo period begins in the month of graduation, regardless of the specific graduation date. For example, a student graduating at any point in May 2024 will have their document automatically released on May 1, 2026. Students are responsible for submitting a request for any embargo extension, if needed, prior to the release date. The Grad School does not provide advance notification or reminders regarding upcoming embargo expirations.
