Personalized Support from the Graduate and Professional School
We understand employment and benefits can be complicated, but you don’t have to navigate it on your own. The Graduate and Professional School has a dedicated Student Employment Coordinator who serves as a central point of contact for graduate and professional students and as a liaison between academic department and Human Resources. The Student Employment Coordinator can help you:
- Understand graduate student employment types and funding structures
- Navigate employment-related questions or concerns
- Identify the appropriate university offices and resources
- Get connected to timely, student-centered support
Graduate Assistantships
Graduate assistants support academic and administrative units across the university while gaining professional experience. GAs may be eligible for insurance benefits. Non-resident students employed in these GA positions may also qualify to pay tuition and fees at the in-state rate.
The Texas A&M Service Portal is a centralized self-service site for finding information and submitting or tracking HR, employment, and related service requests.
Graduate students employed in a graduate assistantship who work at least 20 hours per work for 4.5 months or longer are eligible for benefits through their employment.
Graduate Assistant student employees at Texas A&M University are eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance benefits that support their well-being during their studies.
