Overview

The Master of Clinical Nutrition (MCN) at Texas A&M University is a professionally focused graduate program designed for students pursuing advanced training in clinical nutrition practice and dietetics. Offered alongside the ACEND‑accredited Dietetic Internship, the MCN provides a strong foundation in medical nutrition therapy, nutritional assessment, evidence‑based practice, and interprofessional healthcare collaboration. Students gain the clinical competencies required for modern dietetics while completing graduate‑level coursework that deepens their understanding of nutrition science and its application in patient care.

Why Texas A&M?

The MCN + Dietetic Internship pathway prepares students to become Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) through a rigorous blend of supervised clinical practice, community and food‑service rotations, and advanced academic training. Students benefit from partnerships with leading healthcare facilities, hands‑on clinical experiences, and faculty who are experts in nutrition science and dietetic practice. Graduates emerge ready for credentialing and well‑prepared for careers in clinical nutrition, hospitals, outpatient care, community health, wellness programs, and specialized medical nutrition roles. With the strength of Texas A&M’s Department of Nutrition and the support of the Aggie Network, this program offers a powerful route into the dietetics profession.
