Overview

The Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) at Texas A&M University is an accredited professional program that prepares students to design, plan, and manage outdoor environments that support ecological health and human well‑being. Through a studio‑centered curriculum, students develop advanced skills in site planning, environmental analysis, construction technologies, and the integration of natural and built systems. Coursework in history, theory, digital design, and environmental processes complements hands‑on studio work, giving students a strong foundation in both the artistic and technical dimensions of landscape architecture. Graduates are prepared to address complex challenges in sustainability, resilience, and community design while building the portfolio and competencies needed for professional licensure.
