Overview

The Master of Urban Planning at Texas A&M University prepares students to shape equitable, resilient, and sustainable communities. Offered through the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning, the program blends technical, political, economic, and legal perspectives to address complex urban challenges. Students develop planning expertise through applied studios, community‑engaged projects, and a required professional internship. Areas of emphasis include transportation and active living, housing and community development, and resilient communities. Graduates are prepared for professional planning roles across public, private, and nonprofit sectors—or for continued doctoral study.
