The Master of Arts degree in Communication is a two-year research-oriented degree that allows students to develop a generalized program of study across communication arts and sciences. The generalized degree plan builds a firm foundation for students to pursue further graduate study in Communication (or a related field), or pursue a career as a communication instructor and/or communication research specialist. MA students are exposed to both social scientific and humanistic approaches to scholarship.
