Program Quick Facts

The Master of Science in Quantitative Finance (MS-QFIN) program is offered by the Adam C. Sinn ’00 Department of Finance with the Department of Mathematics.  MS-QFIN is a 36-hour, non-thesis degree which prepares students, especially STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) and finance majors for careers which require superior quantitative skills. These skills include risk management, quantitative investing, and model development. The MS-QFIN also prepares students for Ph.D. studies in Finance. 

Admission is available to current Texas A&M sophomore, junior and senior students or non-Texas A&M graduates who have completed the equivalent prerequisites (ACCT 229 or 640, ECON 202 or 203, Math 171&172 or Math 151&152 or equivalents) with a ‘B’ grade or higher by the end of Texas A&M University – College Station Summer I Term.

Unsung Heroes for 2026 Honored at Dinner & Dialogue

Breann Richey, Swarnabha Roy and Hikari Skabelund were celebrated at the 2026 Dinner & Dialogue, the Graduate and Professional School’s signature event and the centerpiece of Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week. Each receives a $1,000 scholarship to use for research, presentation or professional development educational or travel expenses.
