My Grad Journey

My Grad Journey is an innovative tool that enables graduate & professional students to curate and share their academic and professional profile.

Students can view their current academic progress and enter details about their academic, research, professional development activities, Through reflections, students can also share their career aspirations and track any changes in their goasl or trajectory.

Their faculty committee members and authorized staff can review and coordinate feedback in annual and ad-hoc review processes.

 

How to Access My Grad Journey?

  1. Go to My Grad Journey

  2. Log in using your Texas A&M NetID and password.

  3. Land on your dashboard

DEVELOPMENT TIMELINE

Phase I  

Student Profile where students can see academic milestones, as well as update goals, publications and professional development activities. Committee members can see these updates in the system. LAUNCHED - Fall 2024

Phase II  

Student Reflection, Committee Review and Feedback Cycle, and Administrative Dashboards - CURRENTLY IN PILOT (Spring 2025)

Students

  • Enhances user experience – Provides a centralized space for managing milestones, tracking progress, and receiving faculty feedback.
  • Improves workflow – All requests, including reflections and updates, are digital, allowing for real-time tracking.
  • Provides transparency – Students can view faculty feedback, submission history, and progress updates in real time.

Faculty

  • Saves time – Centralized student data from Compass and ARCS; eliminates the need to search through emails and manual records.
  • Weekly summary updates – Faculty receive a digest of student updates and requests instead of being inundated with notifications.
  • Facilitates feedback – Provides a structured way to review and comment on student research, coursework, and milestones.
  • Enhances process tracking – Faculty can view where students stand in their academic journey at any time.
  • Encourages mentoring– Allows faculty to see professional development and research activities, enabling better guidance.

Administrators

  • Reduces manual effort – Eliminates the need for paper-based reviews and tracking.
  • Improves efficiency – Data dashboards allow for ease of tracking student progress across degree programs. [IN DEVELOPMENT]
  • Enhances reporting – Allows departments to generate reports on student publications, service activities, and funding sources. [IN DEVELOPMENT]
  • Standardizes review processes – Enables structured annual and periodic graduate student reviews.
