Texas A&M is proud to offer an Aerospace Engineering program that ranks among the top in the U.S. Our program provides unique cutting-edge educational and research opportunities in areas including space exploration, national defense, air transportation, communications and sustainable energy.

Overview

The Master of Science (MS) curriculum is designed to develop new understanding through research and creativity. The student will perform supervised research in one of the following areas:

  • Aerodynamics and propulsion
  • Dynamics and control
  • Materials and structures
  • Systems, Design and Human Integration.
Students have the option to pursue a thesis or non-thesis Master of Science degree. Graduates of the Aerospace Engineering program will be well prepared to enter higher education, private or public industry, and much more.

Students with the ultimate goal of pursuing a PhD should apply directly to the PhD program.
 

Eligibility and Enrollment

Students admitted to this program must have a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or an equivalent field; if the degree is not in a closely related engineering field, leveling courses may be required. Graduates of the Aerospace Engineering program will be well prepared to enter higher education, private or public industry, and much more.
