Overview

The Master of Agribusiness (MAB) degree program is non-thesis, interdisciplinary, and jointly administered by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the Mays Business School. This professional curriculum is designed to provide specialized preparation for economic, financial, marketing, and managerial analysis of agribusiness, food and fiber industry decisions.

Why an MAB?

The MAB program is one of a select cadre of national programs that successfully cuts across the business and agriculture disciplines to focus on food and agribusiness management. The degree is uniquely focused on the food and agribusiness sector with an emphasis on combining economic and business analysis with quantitative methods for decision-making. Students learn to conduct case-based research and work in a team in integrated capstone courses in strategic management and financial analysis while gaining valuable communication and presentation skills.

Furthering the development of value-added agricultural and food enterprises in Texas, the U.S., and worldwide will require considerable analytical and managerial expertise. Graduate-trained managers are needed who are comfortable working in technical fields of expertise and who also have an understanding of the unique challenges and issues facing the agricultural and food sector. The Master of Agribusiness program provides this training.

With over 25 years of excellence, the MAB program at Texas A&M boasts a strong Aggie Network of Former Students who are eager to mentor and support current students.

"My time with the MAB Program has provided me with an impressive education and strong professional development opportunities. Aside from the amazing faculty and staff, the program worked with me to achieve my personal and career goals.”

- Carolina Garcia '21

Program Structure

The requirements of the MAB degree are completed with a full-time, residential program of study. Each student will work closely with the MAB Director in developing a program to meet their unique background and career goals. On average, students typically take three semesters to earn their MAB. No Thesis is required.

The MAB program offers both Spring and Fall entry dates with no specific application deadlines. For more information, please contact Karen S. Lepley. For detailed tuition and fees, visit tuition.tamu.edu.
