The Department of Educational Psychology offers a Master of Science (M.S.) in Bilingual Education with a thesis degree option. This program is also approved for delivery via asynchronous distance education technology. Graduates are prepared to assume instructional leadership positions focused on the educational needs of bilingual and dual language learners. The program will prepare students with the knowledge and the research skills needed to increase success in bilingual education or related fields. The coursework is designed to deepen knowledge and strengthen credentials in the area of bilingualism, bi-literacy and cross-cultural awareness by focusing on teaching and learning skills for those working as teachers, researchers or curriculum developers, at the early childhood, elementary, secondary, and/or post-secondary levels.
