Life Off-Campus: BCS Events, July 6 - 9 teaser image
Here’s to hoping y’all took a day off from your reading & writing & arithmetic and had a wonderful 4th of July enjoying brats, fireworks, and celebrating the U.S.A. There’s lots to do this weekend, and I’m hoping to see some of you around. I’m particularly looking forward to First Friday and making a succulent beer can planter, which I will probably kill within a week because those are just the kind of thumbs I have.

Email me your pictures from around town at brittany {DOT} Segundo {AT} tamu.edu if you’d like to be featured in next week’s post! Let me know in the comments what I’ve missed.

The classic movie 1776 will be showing at Square One Downtown Bryan Event Center and Loft, and, if that isn’t enough, the Bryan Animal Center will be out in front of Carnegie with some adorable animals. I am currently on the academic job market, slowly filling out applications for jobs all across the country. Every single time that I apply to a job, I fall in love with the school and the place before I hit submit. My mind wanders and I begin to daydream about what my life would look like in these places, and I have hope that my application will stand out and help make my daydream a reality. That is why, every single time that I do not get an email back my heart breaks just a little.
