Finn on our campus stroll.

Howdy Ags! Is anyone else excited for the fall season officially starting?? Just me? I am so ready for fresher weather and cozy clothes. This weekend my sister and I, along with our dog Finn, finished our summer bucket list by eating s’mores, watching summer movies, and taking a summer evening stroll around campus. On that note, if you have not been to campus over the weekend for an evening stroll, you are seriously missing out! Campus is absolutely magical on the weekends (when it is not game day). It is just peaceful, quiet, and it honestly creates the perfect study mood (for me at least!). Add fall to that and it doesn’t get any better!

This far into the semester, I feel as though I have gotten a solid routine that works for me. Having a routine makes it so easy to plan my week out and ensures that I make time to schedule all of the course work that must be done, but also have a little bit of fun! If you don’t have a routine, I definitely recommend creating one for yourself. It may take a few weeks to implement, but I promise that it will be worth your while. Creating a routine only requires pencil and paper, or if you have a planner, calendar, agenda, digital planner, etc. – all of those can be used to create a schedule. Pro tip: Google Calendar is incredible for creating your schedule; it is easy to use and you can set up notifications to your mobile phone, laptop, or PC. You can even share your calendar with family and friends so that they know when you are busy. I love to share with my friends because it adds some accountability, too. I usually start every Sunday evening by looking at my planner to get an understanding of what my upcoming week looks like (classes, meetings, assignments) and block out times for the periods of time that I know are already accounted for, such as class time and meetings. Working around those blocked out times, I schedule periods for studying and completing assignments. I try very hard to remain accountable for time periods that I have blocked out for studying. It can be difficult –
sometimes distractions are everywhere – but if you stick with it, only gets easier.

Happy fall ya’ll!!
