The Mystery of Cats & Dedication of Dogs teaser image
Cats are mysterious creatures by nature and interesting to watch. They may be unpredictable sometimes, and they’re fun and frustrating. Of course, each of our pets has their own unique personalities like we all do, and getting to know such creatures is the enjoyable part of our pet relationships. Cats can be cuddly one day, playful the next, and aloof on another. My cat also knows when I am not feeling well and wants to comfort me.  Purring is also special, and scientists are still studying this phenomenon. Cats can purr when exhaling or inhaling. They also purr when happy, sad, or in pain. Their meows also have unique sounds when happy, sad, or in pain.  I have a cat who guards our house like a dog. She sits and watches the door, growling to let us know when someone is at the door. Of all the cats I have owned over the years, she has been the most unique.

Dogs also have unique personalities, and if you get a puppy you can experience the enjoyment of seeing its personality develop over time. Dogs can develop habits that can be annoying or positive in your home. Dedication to their owners is fascinating, and when I am with my dog, he is next to me whether or not others are present. It is a special feeling knowing my dog is always there for me.  He also knows when I need some extra attention or my spirits lifted. We also hear stories of dogs who were separated from their families and were dedicated to finding their way home. You can see dedication in their eyes, and this brings joy to our hearts.

I miss my animals while at school and am glad to see them when I am visiting back home. If you have a pet at school, enjoy them and get to know them a little better since you are with them more than usual during the pandemic. If you are traveling home for the holidays, enjoy seeing them again and enjoy their reaction when you reunite.

Aggieland - Lessons and Gratitude

I came to Texas A&M as an international student, but I will leave as part of something much greater - the Aggie family. That is something that cannot be fully described in words, but felt in every action, connection, and step I take toward a brighter future.
