Congratulations on completing your doctorate!

Texas A&M University values information gathered from graduate students who have completed their degree at the university. To this end, we respectfully request that you complete the two surveys below. Information gained from these surveys will be used internally and externally to help us improve our graduate programs.

  1. Survey of Earned Doctorates (SED)
  2. AAUDE Exit Survey
Once you complete the surveys, please upload the completion certificates/screenshots in the designated ARCS fields.

  • For the SED, you will receive a certificate to upload.
  • For the AAUDE, please upload a PDF or screenshot of the confirmation email you receive.

Thank you for taking the time to fill out these surveys. Best wishes as you continue moving forward on your career path!

Survey of Earned Doctorates

The Survey of Earned Doctorates (SED) is the definitive source of information on the nation’s new research doctorates. Sponsored by the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Department of Education, and the National Endowment of Humanities and conducted by RTI International, the SED is critical to understanding in what specialty areas doctorates are produced and their post-graduation employment plans. Results are used by government and academic institutions to determine graduate education funding, develop new programs, and support existing ones. The survey’s ability to accurately describe doctorate earners depends on obtaining responses from all doctorate degree recipients. Your response affects decisions made for the future generations of doctorate recipients.

AAUDE Core Graduate Education Exit Survey

The AAUDE Core Graduate Education Exit Survey is used at member institutions of the Association of American Universities (AAU). Information gained from this survey will be distributed through the Texas A&M University Office of Academic and Business Performance Analytics to AAU and be combined with data from other contributing AAU institutions to help us improve graduate programs at Texas A&M and throughout AAU member institutions.
