Graduates of the program possess the business, technical, and leadership skills to meet the challenges presented by rapidly evolving information technology and the need to effectively incorporate this technology into business strategy and day-to-day operations.
Students who have already completed or are in the process of completing a bachelor’s degree may apply. Previous work experience is not required, but may benefit applicants.

Curriculum
The MS-MIS program is a 36 credit-hour, in residence program offering optional internship opportunities. The program has four prerequisites; applicants are most competitive when at least two are completed at the time of application submission. Program prerequisites include courses in the following:
- Programming
- Database Management
- Systems Analysis and Design
- Networking

- MIS Project Management and Implementation

- Corporate Information Planning
Students choose seven elective courses in areas such as management, computer science, accounting, finance, statistics, and marketing. Students are also able to complete up to two professional internships while in the program.
