I've been there too teaser image

I've been there too

Ayushri Jain

I get it, friend, it can be tough
When you’re in a new city, college, and stuff
Trying to make ends meet, but it’s a struggle
Worrying about finances, and all the troubles
Skipping meals, making sacrifices
To keep your head above water and pay your prices
Looking for part-time work, but nothing seems to click
It’s hard to stay focused, and keep yourself from feeling sick

But please believe me, you’re not alone
I’ve been in your shoes, and I’ve known
The same hardships, the same stress, the same strife
The same late nights, trying to keep up with life
And one thing I learned through my own strife
Is to give yourself some grace, and prioritize your life
Working and paying bills is important, it’s true
But don’t forget about yourself too
Make time for self-care, and don’t neglect
Your mental and physical health, don’t reject
The chance to breathe and find some peace
To approach life’s challenges with renewed ease
I’ve been there too, my friend, just like you
But now I’m here, and you’ll make it through
Together we’ll find the strength to renew
And see our lives with a new view.
So hold on tight, keep pushing through
Believe in yourself, and what you can do
Trust me when I say this, with all my might
In the end, things will be alright.
