Learn About a New Club That Will Help You Land a Job in Product Management teaser image
When companies release new products it takes a large team of people to get from idea to launch, and it doesn't happen easily. Product managers are the people who guide the process from start to finish. A product manager must be fluent in engineering and business areas to help guide and coordinate the tasks involved in launching a product. In order to help students learn the skills needed to become a product manager, we created the Aggie Product Management Club. APMC is a club for aspiring product managers to gain their footing in the industry. We will have industry speakers, practice interviews, and review materials that will help you gain the knowledge needed to land a job as a PM. Our first club meeting is Wednesday, November 6th at 6:30pm in Wehner Room 103. Come join us to hear about everything APMC has to offer you on your way to becoming a PM.

Aggie Women in Entomology - Promoting Women in STEM

Now more than ever, diversity and inclusion are important to foster and consider. Aggie Women in Entomology (AWE) is just the organization to do so. AWE aims to provide opportunities for women to develop their skills in leadership, mentorship, and excellence. AWE is open to undergraduates, graduates, postdocs, and faculty. Allies of women are also welcome. I spoke with the current president of AWE and PhD student, Jaclyn Martin. She said that AWE benefits its members in many ways such as providing opportunities such as organizing a symposium to highlight women’s research at the Annual Entomological Society of America’s national meeting. This symposium is an excellent way to give AWE members a chance to invite, correspond, and network with other women in STEM (particularly with a focus on entomology). Key qualities of student athletes that allow success in grad school

6 am in the morning and the alarm clock goes on. You gotta get to the field house by 6.30am for practice. You barely slept 5 hours because you stayed up late finishing the homework for organic chemistry, which you are still unsure if your answers are correct. After practice you have to go to 9am physical chemistry class. It is 10am and you are already mentally and physically exhausted.

Sustainability Workshops

In the past few years I’ve been to many of the workshops offered by the Office of Sustainability. They cover a variety of topics related to the three pillars of sustainability: social sustainability, environmental sustainability, and economic sustainability. These workshops are student-run, open to everyone, and you get a free CamelBak water bottle with TAMU Sustainability logo on it every time (makes great gift for your friends and families).
