Texas A&M: Everything You Need to Know teaser image

Texas A&M : Everything you need to know

Ayushri Jain

Amidst the rolling hills and open plains,
Stands a university with a legacy that remains.
Texas A&M, where honor and tradition reign,
And Aggie pride runs through our veins.

Our culture is one of respect and grace,
Where we hold doors and give a friendly face.
We wear our Aggie Rings with pride,
A symbol of the knowledge we’ve gained inside.

With so many degrees and courses to choose,
Our academic programs are diverse and diffuse.
We strive for excellence in all that we do,
To build a better world, for me and for you.

At Fish Camp, we welcome each new face,
With cheers and songs to help them find their place.
And Midnight Yell, with its thundering sound,
Gives us the courage to stand our ground.

On gameday, we don our maroon and white,
And the 12th Man cheers with all their might.
Yell Practice teaches us to be loud and strong,
And to support our team all day long.

But there are times when sadness hits,
And we mourn those who’ve left us, bit by bit.
Silver Taps is a solemn ceremony,
A reminder of our Aggie family.

And then there’s Muster, a day we never forget,
To honor those who’ve passed, lest we regret.
Their names are called, and candles are lit,
Their memories stay forever with us, every bit.

Reveille, our collie mascot with eyes so bright,
Leads us through the years, with all her might.
And the Corps of Cadets, with their discipline and poise,
Remind us to serve with honor and make wise choice.
Excellence, integrity, leadership, and loyalty,
Selfless service and respect, they are our royalty.

But Texas A&M offers even more,
With diverse programs and degrees galore.
From clubs and organizations to health and safety,
Transportation, housing, and life on campus so lively.
There’s always something new to explore,
And dining on campus is never a bore.

We have resources to help us thrive,
And protocols in place to keep us alive.
From dorms to apartments, to family homes,
We find a place that’s right and make it our own.

Life on campus is a vibrant scene,
With events and activities to keep us keen.
From athletics to arts, to clubs and more,
We find our passions and explore.

This is Texas A&M, a place we hold dear,
With traditions and values that we all revere.
And so much more, that makes it unique,
A place where we grow, and all of us seek.
We carry them with us, wherever we roam,
Our hearts full of Aggie Spirit, forever at home.

Howdy”, “Gig ‘em” and “Whoop”,
Are words that make our Aggie hearts loop.
These phrases are part of our Aggie culture and pride,
Reminding us we stand together, side by side.

There’s something for everyone to enjoy,
At Texas A&M, where traditions and innovations deploy.
No matter who you are or where you’re from,
At Texas A&M, you’ll always belong.
For our Aggie family is loyal and true,
Once an Aggie, always an Aggie, through and through.
