Dissertation/Record of Study Approval Form


Overview

This milestone, which is completed in ARCS, is a part of the Thesis, Dissertation, or Record of Study submission process. 

First, the Approval Form will not become active in ARCS until the following three steps are
completed:

  • The final exam must have been passed.
  • the SED/AAUDE surveys have been completed and proof uploaded and
  • The Copyright and Availability Form has been approved by your Chair
Second, before submitting the Approval Form, the final manuscript of the Thesis, Dissertation,
or Record of Study needs to be uploaded to Vireo. See the Document Submission page for
further information.


Instructions

  • Verify the title of your Thesis/Dissertation/Record of Study matches the title of the document submitted to Vireo.
  • A graduation term may be selected but is not required.
  • Acknowledge that you have uploaded your Thesis/Dissertation/Record of Study in Vireo.
  • Click “Submit” to begin the Thesis/Dissertation/Record of Study approval process.

Texas A&M 2024 Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Finals: Graduate Students Compete in Annual Research Presentation Competition

Eight doctoral students and three master’s students had top scores at the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) preliminary competition on October 24 and 25 and will move on to compete in the finals on November 12. At stake is $4,000 in prize money in master’s and doctoral divisions and, for the overall winner, the opportunity to represent Texas A&M at the Southeast Regional 3MT competition in March 2025.

I am currently on the academic job market, slowly filling out applications for jobs all across the country. Every single time that I apply to a job, I fall in love with the school and the place before I hit submit. My mind wanders and I begin to daydream about what my life would look like in these places, and I have hope that my application will stand out and help make my daydream a reality.
